Review of "love me"
Derek Morton, Mikroknytes
"Lacunae reminds me of a planet inhabited by machines and androids. "Love Me" unwinds like a hazy soundtrack to this alien world. It's metallic and cold and not far from the territory explored by "Boards of Canada" or " Arovane." Vocoded and digitally processed vox permeate the landscape reinforcing the "stranger in a strange land" vibe. Unlike the current crop of schematic inspired glitch-hop projects, Lacunae does not focus of VST plugin pyrotechnics or tweaked out skittery beat mayhem . Love Me's strength is in the layering of treated vocals counterpoint the ebb and flow of melancholic synth lines."
